Global movement.
Local impact.
Building a global community should also mean strengthening the local communities that make it possible. The Koh Nomad Foundation is currently in development and is not yet a legally incorporated or operational entity.
If a destination helps Koh Nomad grow, Koh Nomad should help that destination grow too.
Movement should never mean taking without giving back
Koh Nomad is built around movement. Every destination exists because of the place, culture, people and local economy surrounding it.
The Koh Nomad Foundation represents our intention to ensure that part of the value created by our future international community contributes back to the communities and destinations that welcome us. The long-term model is intended to allocate part of the value created by the Koh Nomad ecosystem to locally relevant initiatives through the Foundation. No percentage has been decided, no funds have been raised and no donations have been made.
We are guests, partners and participants in the places that welcome us. The Foundation is designed to listen and collaborate — not to arrive in a country and decide what its communities need.
As Koh Nomad develops, our impact should grow with it.
The Koh Nomad Foundation is part of the planned future Koh Nomad ecosystem. It is not yet registered, funded or operational.
The local reinvestment principle
A portion of the value generated by future Koh Nomad locations is intended to support locally relevant initiatives through the Koh Nomad Foundation and/or approved local partners. This model is planned, not yet operational.
Value created locally should also create impact locally.

Growing with Thailand.
Not just in Thailand.
Thailand is intended to be the birthplace of Koh Nomad. That intention creates a responsibility, from the first day of the project.
Our ambition is not simply to bring an international community to Thailand. We want that community to participate positively in the ecosystem that welcomes it.
As the first Koh Nomad destination grows, our intention is for part of the value created here to remain connected to Thailand through local employment, local suppliers, partnerships, community initiatives and the future work of the Koh Nomad Foundation.
Thailand is not just where we begin.
It is part of what we build.

Impact begins with how we operate.
The Foundation is one part of our intended impact model. The larger commitment is designed to begin with how each future Koh Nomad location operates every day.
Our objective is to build destinations that participate in their local economies rather than operating as isolated international bubbles.

The Foundation scales with the network
Impact is not designed to be centralised in one place. The intention is that it multiplies destination by destination, each with its own local priorities and partners.

Distributed local impact
We work with those already doing the work
The Foundation is designed to collaborate with credible organisations already connected to their communities, rather than building parallel structures. The categories below are the types of organisation we hope to work with — none is a confirmed partner today.
- Local associations
- Educational organisations
- Environmental organisations
- Community initiatives
- Social enterprises
- Universities
- Local businesses
- Local authorities where appropriate
Impact should be measurable.
As Koh Nomad grows, we intend to make our impact measurable and transparent.
Future impact reporting may include
- Funds allocated
- Projects supported
- Local partners
- People reached
- Environmental initiatives
- Local economic contribution
The more Koh Nomad grows globally, the more value it should be capable of creating locally.

Build global. Give local.
We are developing Koh Nomad with the belief that international growth and local responsibility should strengthen each other.
